==Relationship to the Good Killers==
The [[Good Killers Gang|Good Killers]] label arose from a 1921 investigation—approximately nine years after Schiro took leadership. Hunt and Tona interpret it as a crew or enforcement arm in a broader Castellammarese formation, while Critchley says the evidence does not prove that enforcement-arm relationship.<ref>Thomas Hunt and Michael A. The chronology therefore does not support the claim that the Williamsburg Gang later merged with the Good Killers and the Magaddino and Bonventre families to create Schiro's organization. The Schiro family already existed. The evidence instead supports an established borgata recruiting through overlapping Castellammarese kinship and criminal networks, with some of its milieu appearing in the later Good Killers case.
