==Castellammarese War== Sabella's Philadelphia organization supported the Castellammarese side during the 1930–1931 conflict. Critchley reports that Sabella had connections with Bonventre and Magaddino, while later chronologies describe Sabella and several Philadelphia men traveling to New York to assist the anti-Masseria faction.<ref name="Critchley" /><ref>[https://mafiahistory.us/maf-chr4.html “Corruption, Conflict, Commission: 1928–1933”], ''The American Mafia'' chronology.</ref> That wartime assistance demonstrated alliance and fraternal obligation.
